How To Make Photoluminescent Epoxy Resin
Photoluminescent epoxy resin is a necessity to make luminescent pigments. Today I will introduce to you how to produce photoluminescent epoxy resin.
1. First, mix the Epoxy resin. You'll want to use a 1:1 ratio with parts A and B to get the appropriate consistency, and to cure correctly. If you're new to using Epoxy, be sure to read the instructions on mixing Epoxy first before starting your project.
2. Next, mix PYG-6M with a small amount of epoxy in a mixing cup. Stir the powdered pigment thoroughly with your craft stick or paint stirrer. Blending the powder in smaller amounts will allow the glow in the dark pigment to dissolve better and prevent "clumping."
The recommended ratio for mixing pigments is:
1/4-1/2 ounce of pigment: 8 ounces of epoxy resin
1/2-1 ounce of pigment: 16 ounces of epoxy resin
1-2 ounces of pigment: 32 ounces of epoxy resin
3. Finally, you can then pour your small batch of colored epoxy into your main batch of epoxy resin and stir vigorously.
